THE SCHOOL COMPLETES IT’S FIRST
SEMESTER!
Praise God for an exciting three months of ministry!
The school has taken us preaching in 15 different states. We have been
through rain storms, snow
storms, hail
storms, and through bad days with
the Storms; through it all God has
been moving, teaching, blessing, breaking and molding. To sum it up, the
school has exceeded all our hopes and desires; we can’t wait for the next
semester to begin. God supplied us with a wonderful group of
students who have been the perfect blend of personalities, always exhorting,
provoking and challenging one another (and us) in the love and righteousness
of Jesus Christ.

background).
RIGHT:
Jason
at Princeton University refuting moral relativism through the Law of God “written on
every man’s heart. The young man to the right came under much conviction
regarding the subject of abortion. We all know, “Thou Shall Not Murder.” After
our discussion, Karin, a young girl from the school, continued to minister to
him for over a half an hour.
The Lord brought us people
from a variety of backgrounds with differing strengths and weaknesses. Putting
them all together we had a well balanced group that made our hearts rejoice!
There are very few things that are as exciting as seeing young Christians
really blossom and come in to their own as ministers for our Lord.

ABOVE LEFT:
Nathan Buchinger, 21, a student from
Michigan, preaches and dialogues in the midst of a small crowd at Temple
University. There was much opposition to our message that day, but as we
battled over the course of the afternoon hearts were softened and our message
began penetrating.
ABOVE RIGHT:
Serj Dergazarian, 22, from Pasadena,
CA shows a group of high school kids the reality of abortion. Serj had the
chance to explain to them the value of human life as created in God’s image, and
to share with them that they too are created in God’s image, under His authority
and in need of His salvation!
RIGHT:
Sara Storms, holding baby
Jonathan, in conversation with a few students. Sara was able to exchange
information with the young girl in front of her to continue the great
discussion they had. Although she was not a Christian she had an open
heart and mind to listen and think about the claims of Scripture.

Mark Deiner was able to join us with Repent America at West Chester University
in PA. Mark here preaches to a gathering crowd that eventually exceeded 300
students. Much of this crowd stayed until after 6:00 pm (we arrived on campus
at 11:30 am) debating and reasoning with our group.
We are preparing for our next
semester to get started April 1st. Please keep it in your
prayers!

writings regarding ministering on college campuses:

Lauren Murch, 19, from Virginia, discusses
God’s existence and authority with several students on the UW Milwaukee campus
“…When you talk with students you have
to really work with them and build from nothing. The process of
opening them up to certain ideas is tedious and demands your full attention.
While we are out there we try to be as caring as we can. People
so often deny the truth of God because of faulty assumptions that they never
bother to look into…So the time there went extremely well. I know that there
were a lot of people who thought about God and went to look into whether the
Bible is true or not...” Ben

Halloween festival. A heckler jumped up to contend with Mike, drawing lots of
attention to our message and allowing for a good exchange of ideas.

SALEM, MASS
During our three
week stint on the east coast we ministered in Salem , MASS for three days
during their Halloween festival that attracts thousands from around the area.
It is always a wild time, the reaction is mixed from the crowds; many people
like what we do; others simply listen and think; some terribly oppose us (even
some local Christian groups). Sadly many Christians have adopted a theology of
fear and it drives their evangelistic methods. Denouncing us for “being to
aggressive”, apparently they have never read the Book of Acts. Certainly there
are some open air preachers who lack compassion, come across as arrogant and
condescending and overall do a poor job. But this doesn’t mean the method
is wrong, plus these attitudes can exist in “friendship” or “relational”
type approaches as well. God blesses sincerity, humility, and courage; however
a believer is moved to minister the gospel.
Road trips
during the semester:
-
A two week excursion with Missionaries to the
Preborn through South Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming.
-
A Three week trip to the east coast joining
Life and Liberty Ministries for a week in Virginia and D.C., Repent
America for a week in Philadelphia, and several days in Salem, MA for
their Halloween extravaganza!
-
A one week trip down south to Missouri and
Wichita, KS with Operation Rescue and Iowa with Dan and Donna Holman.
In addition to these trips we ministered at 7 campuses in
Wisconsin (on more than one occasion) as well as at local abortion clinics, high
schools and a variety of other venues.
ABOVE:
Jason preaches to a large, and at
times, hostile group. Many say, “Look at all the people you’re turning away!”
Our simple response is that most these folks are already turned away. We
are bringing to the surface their issues with God in order that they may be
dealt with. A lady in this crowd that assaulted me and was pulled away by the
police, two hours later was in tears pouring her heart out to Serj in
repentance, confessing her sins and literally asking “What must I do to be
saved”. Pray for Katlyn. She exchanged information with some of our young
people, may her heart be brought to the tender mercies of the Lord.
A special
thanks to all who have contributed to our work here, especially during the past
three months. May God richly bless you!
